Hello there. My name is Kylie. I’m a 25-year-old devoted mother, and wife living in the Boise area of Idaho!
My husband and I are high school sweethearts, and have been married since 2013. We met in Astronomy class, while in my last year of high school. After dating for a year, we were engaged in 2011. Wedding planning was so exciting, and we had so much fun picking colors, styles, and decor.
Our wedding was Friday March 29, 2013. We said our vows in front of family and friends at a local church, and had our beautiful rustic reception in their community barn. It was a beautiful day!
On our first wedding anniversary, we found out we were pregnant! We celebrated by going to dinner, and telling our families. In July of 2014, we found out we were having a baby girl. We decided on Addison Lynn Manning.
Due December 10th, she decided to make her entrance on December 18th, after a 28 hour labor. I had a c-section as my cervix had swelled, and I was unable to push. My husband and I spent the first few hours, counting, and recounting fingers and toes. Read her full birth story here.
It has been a blessing being her mom, and the last 2 years have flown by.
In October of 2016, I was diagnosed with PTC/IIH. Essentially excess spinal fluid causes the pressure in my skull to raise without an obvious reason. It can cause an extreme headache worthy of going to the hospital, vision changes, vision loss, and even seizures. Thankfully mine was caught early enough that I was able to take medication, lose weight, and I’m in remission now. It will always have a chance of coming back throughout my life. My doctors have told me if I maintain losing weight as I have been, it is unlikely that it will return.
In the Fall of 2017, my husband and I decided to add to our family through adoption! We are researching, and reading books right now. In the Spring/Summer of 2018 we will begin fundraising! We are going to be adopting in 2019, and seriously cannot wait to find our newest addition!
Thank you so much for stopping by Lovingly Kylie, I hope you enjoy what you read!
